Yoomin Shin

Yoomin Shin was born on the 29th of November, 1996 in Seoul, South Korea. She has been studying at the Hochschule für Musik, Theater und Medien Hannover with Prof. Roland Krüger since 2013. In 2013 she was also a student in the Pre-College division of the Musikhochschule.
Yoomin Shin has been a prizewinner in various international piano competitions. Some of her prizes include: 3rd Prize at the International Franz Liszt Competition for Young Pianists in Germany (2009), 1st Prize at the Jugend Musiziert Competition in Germany (2014), Grand Prix at the Teenager Competition in Seoul (2014), Sejong Music Award in Seoul (2014), etc.
She has given many solo recitals on European stages, and has performed with orchestras several times in Europe and in her homeland South Korea. In 2012, 'The Year Of Liszt', she played in the final concert of 'KOSMOS Piano Festival', where well-known pianist Arcadi Volodos also gave a remarkable performance in the opening concert.
Of particular importance was the fact that she was invited to play for 'Literaturpreisverleihung der Konrad-Adenauer-Stiftung fuer C. Noteboom' in Germany. That day Hans-Gert Poettering (the former President of the Eurpean Parliament), Norbert Lammert (the President of the Deutscher Bundestag) and 400 politicians were present. 2010 Yoomin Shin was studying under the guidance of Prof. Karl-Heinz Kämmerling's, who unfortunately passed away quite recently. She also participated in several master classes given by Paul Badura-Skoda, Prof. Karl-Heinz Kämmerling, Dina Yoffe and Elisabeth Leonskaja.
