Orcun Yildiran


Orcun was born in September of 1994 in Balıkesir-Turkey and started playing the piano at the age of 9. He attended both the middle school and the high school at the Mimar Sinan Fine Arts University then he began his studies in the class of Prof. Claudius Tanski at Mozarteum University of Salzburg. Since 2013 Orcun is studying with Prof. Roland Krüger at the University of Music, Drama and Media Hannover.
He has been awarded from numerous competitions such as 2nd prize at the International Piano Competition at the Trakya University in 2008, the following year he won 3rd prize at the International Young Musicians Competition in Bulgaria, in his homeland he won 3rd prize and prize for the best performance of Turkish composition in his age category at the National Kamuran Gündemir Piano Competition at the Mersin University, 1st prize at the International Piano Competition of the Pera Music Festival. In 2012 Orcun won 3rd prize at the National Piano Competition at the Hacettepe University Ankara State Conservatory and 1st prize at the Kadikoy Belediyesi Sureyya Operasi National Piano Competition in 2013. Then he recorded his debut CD at Fazioli Concert Hall in Sacile.
Orcun has attended many Masterclasses of Milena Mollova, Giselle Brodsky, Misha Dacic, Ragna Schirmer, Christian Wilde Müller, Jean Bernard Pommier, Valentin Surif, Peter Coss, Makoto Ueno and Gülsin Onay.
Recently he gave solo and duo recitals in Germany (Dresden, Lindenburg), Italy (Sacile) and Turkey (Istanbul).
